REPUGNATOR is a black/death metal band hailing from Porto, Portugal. ''Foul Transfixation'' is their debut EP, released via the Polish extreme independent music label GODZ OV WAR PRODUCTIONS (Hail Greg!!) on January 31st, 2025. Their music style is a schizophrenic blend of old-school black and death metal, featuring furious and hellish guitar riffs, heavy abyssal bass lines, extreme bulldozing drumming, and brutal vocals straight from the depths of hell. From beginning to end, ''Foul Transfixation'' reigns in dark brutality at its peak. The songs are abysmal, filled with hatred for human existence - misanthropic and disgusting. ''Putrid Gates of Bone'' is brutal, brutal, brutal! Especially the vocals here from Scourge Degragator, which are monstrous and hellish. ''Sprawling Piles of Disgust'' delivers killer bass lines by Cryptic Smog. ''Pyretic Smog of Degradation'' features chaotic guitar ripping (not just riffing) from Sulfuric Wraith. The title track, ''Foul Transfixation'', boasts extreme hammer drumming by Poisonous Fumes, while ''Visage of Rot'' is simply fucking brutal. The atmosphere of ''Foul Transfixation'' is dark, immersive, and conjures images of desolate landscapes, evil spirits, and ancient rituals. The cover artwork, created by Maria Madalena (aka Nosfewatuwu), is both magical and mysterious, fitting perfectly with the musical work of REPUGNATOR. The layout was done by Marckus, and the sick logo was designed by Pierre de Palmas (Editor of Braindead Zine).''Foul Transfixation'' was recorded, mixed, and mastered by André Fernandes at Tanoaria. REPUGNATOR’s first offering has been unleashed, and it’s more than promising!
