This split CD brings together two underground bands, Death Invoker from Peru and Hessian from the USA, for a short but very raw release. With six tracks and just under 15 minutes of music, ''Bestial Sacrifice For Primitive Adorations'' gets straight to the point. Death Invoker open the release with four tracks, including two intro pieces. Their side has a raw black/death metal sound with some thrash influence, and the production fits the style perfectly. The guitars have a rough sound, the drums are aggressive and the vocals have that old-school feeling that works very well with the music. “Ancient Visions of Hell” and “Curse Vomitor” are the main tracks on their side and both have a strong underground character. There is nothing polished or overly complicated here. Death Invoker keep things simple and focus on riffs, speed and atmosphere. The two intros add to the dark feeling, although they do take up a fair amount of the band's short running time. Hessian take over for the final two tracks, “Chant Of Aganyu” and “Satanic Sacrifice.” Their sound is closer to primitive black metal, with a very raw production and a more chaotic feel. The two songs are short, direct and aggressive, and they fit well with the overall mood of the split. What works well about this release is that both bands have a similar underground approach, while still having their own sound. Death Invoker bring more of a black/death/thrash mix, while Hessian go for a rougher black metal style. The biggest downside is simply the length. This is a very short release, and it ends almost as soon as you get into it. Still, that also makes it easy to go back and play again. ''Bestial Sacrifice For Primitive Adorations'' is not trying to be anything more than a raw underground split, and that is exactly what it delivers. If you are into primitive black metal, old-school death/thrash and releases with a dirty, unpolished sound, this one is worth checking out.
