DEAMONOLITH - THE MONOLITHIC CULT OF DEATH

As I’ve mentioned many times before, Poland has arguably been one of the strongest musical scenes in recent years, especially when it comes to extreme metal. To this day, it continues to give us incredibly powerful and fascinating releases that stay with us through their music. So, what am I holding in my hands right now? I’m holding the debut album by Deamonolith on CD, originally released in 2024 by Godz Ov War Productions (a big shout-out to Greg for the incredible work he’s done with his label!) in collaboration with Ancient Dead Productions. The edition featured here was released by the band themselves in a strictly limited run of only 300 digipak CD copies! Łukasz was kind enough to send us one. An absolutely professional piece of work! Congratulations, guys!!! The members of Deamonolith are clearly highly experienced within the extreme metal scene, and you can immediately tell from the band’s unique and compelling compositions. One of the album’s strongest aspects is undoubtedly the musicianship, which becomes obvious the moment these songs burst through the speakers. ''The Monolithic Cult of Death'' runs for approximately 35 minutes and delivers a torrent of raging, hellish, and fast-paced compositions, while at the same time incorporating progressive and avant-garde elements that genuinely surprise you when heard within death metal structures, yet they fit the overall atmosphere perfectly. This is a marriage of savage outbursts and supersonic blast beats with insane sounds coming from a demonic saxophone, melancholic and atmospheric piano passages, brutal vocals, and ethereal, captivating female vocals. In general, Deamonolith’s music is far from conventional and does not follow the standard formulas that extreme metal bands are supposedly expected to obey. They play exactly what they want, free from restrictions and boundaries, music created directly from their emotions and from the heart. That’s why I mentioned earlier that the members of Deamonolith are far from newcomers to this scene. They are seasoned veterans who know exactly how to compose aggressive, rage-filled death metal songs. ''The Monolithic Cult of Death'' is a truly interesting release that will certainly not leave extreme metal fans indifferent. Also, for anyone interested in learning more about Deamonolith, be sure to check out the very interesting interview we conducted with them HERE. I’m not sure whether there are still CD copies available directly from the band, but that’s certainly a good reason to get in touch with them. Boys & girls out-there please, dig deeper into the underground and don’t wait for everything to be handed to you on a plate! Search for it yourselves. We’ve reached a point where bands are “chasing” listeners instead of listeners chasing bands. And finally, the good news: ''The Monolithic Cult of Death'' was also released about a month ago on cassette, this time in an extremely limited edition of only 50 copies, by the Hellenic Metal label Nuclear Winter Records in collaboration with Godz Ov War Productions. From our side, we wish Deamonolith all the very best and hope they return soon with a brand-new album!
