Interview with TEMORA

Welcome to the FILTHY DOGS OF METAL Webzine.

Tell us a few things about TEMORA (Members, Starting Year etc).
Temora started in fall of 2024 as a death metal project of DEADROOTS members Matyáš (drums and vocals) and Pája (guitar) with the help of their friend Rozvik (guitar and vocals). Currently we are a three-piece but starting next year we will have a new bassist.

You have recently released your demo. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
The feedback is great and there is more interest in us than we expected.

And what about the lyrics?
Most of the lyrics are disgusting, piss related and about the shitty world we live in.

What do you prefer, Label or DIY and why?
Definitely an underground label, we are happy to be under Filth Junkies Records. They helped us a lot and made us tapes.

Is there any funny or weird story from the recordings or from your live shows that you would like to share with us?
Yeah, the piss theme came from our drummer pissing on a wall and we wanted to do the logo from the piss stain. So the logo is inspired by one of the stains hahaha, that's about it.

Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
We prefer physical media because it's tangible and supports the underground.

Your music style is Death Metal. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
So the impulse for starting the band was a Czech band Mordloch, but we take influences from the whole Czech underground (Sněť, Morkhimmel, Kaosquad etc…) and a lot of old school death metal bands (Incantion, Demilich, Entombed, Gorguts, Autopsy etc…).

Which things do you think a band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future for your band?
You should sacrifice a lot of time in order to rehearse as much as possible and sacrifice a lot of money :(

Describe your ideal live show as a performance band. Have you already experienced that?
For us an ideal show means: a cool venue, good lights, atmosphere, full of people who are enjoying it and the sound is clean.

What do you think about the rise of AI in music production?
We are anti AI, fuck AI “art”.

What attributes do you think that a new Death Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
Not trying to be liked by everyone, be real and put your heart in it.

Do you believe that Digital Platforms help the new Death Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a band to promote its work?
Yes they do, it is important to show your work as much as possible but without being annoying.

From your experience in the music industry, what would you tell to a new Death Metal band to avoid or what to do?
Get a van, not like us lol ( we are packed like sardines right now).

Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Czechia (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
It's awesome here in Czechia, lot of cool bands and cool people who support the real shit. There is not lot of zines nowa days but there is few and they are doing a great job, we have great clubs here.

What does Death Metal means to you? And give us 10 metal albums that run in your veins.
It is the best metal genre, it makes us happy, smelly and that is what we love! And our 10 albums are:
1. Mordloch- S/T
2. Death- Human
3. Demilich- Nespithe
4. Celtic Frost- To The Megatherion
5. Undergang- Misantropologi
6. Gorguts- Obscura
7. Beton- Beasts of the East
8. Slayer- Seasons in the Abyss
9. Edge of Sanity- Crimson
10. Black Sabbath- Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
Sadly we don't know much about its but would love to pay.

What are your future plans?
We currently writing our debut full length and have a lot of shows in 2026 too.

Thank you very much for your time & keep up the good work! The closure is yours.
Thank you for reaching out to us and thanks for reading this. Support the underground. Piss yall!
