Welcome to the FILTHY DOGS OF METAL Webzine.
Tell us a few things about MVSACRY (Members, Starting Year etc).
First of all, thanks for having us. Mvsacry was born in 2024 as a dark fellowship. The first line-up was Sless on vocals, with Fjord and Yakhdash on guitars. From that first meeting, the seed of noise was planted, growing in distortion and a will to speak darkness with zero compromise. Later, two more members joined to fill the coffin, Vile on bass and Ignitvs on drums.
You have recently released your album ''Lucid Damnation''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
This project started from a straight-up savage urge to make raw black metal pure primal hunger. That same year we dropped a demo in its roughest, most honest form. The fire never died though. It evolved into something sharper with our full-length “Lucid Damnation” released in 2026. The sound and recording became more organized, but the spirit stayed filthy and dark.
The cover artwork has a dark atmosphere! Tell us a few things about it.
The first reactions to “Lucid Damnation” came from our closest circle friends and comrades who helped spread it way beyond our own room. The support meant a lot. The good feedback basically told us one thing: this album needs to exist as a physical release, as a real artifact of the noise we’ve unleashed.

And what about the lyrics?
The lyrics and artwork are based on the Kafkaesque idea from Franz Kafka, an absurd world where souls get judged without even knowing the charge, punished by a faceless system with no name. Fire, ash and ruins symbolize that invisible machinery crushing existence: wiping memory, burning bodies, locking minds in an endless trial with no verdict. People keep walking like eternal defendants, chained to a cold fate that can’t be fought.
Are you in searching for a record label? What do you prefer, Label or DIY and why?
We’re open to working with labels, including DIY ones as long as they don’t mess with our vision. Full freedom or nothing.
Is there any funny or weird story from the recordings or from your live shows that you would like to share with us?
Recording the album was full of stupid/funny moments, too many to list. We recorded in a pretty chill way, lots of jokes, not always “serious studio mode,” and that probably made the album take longer after the demo. For live show, the funniest thing happened at our first Mvsacry show. We barely had experience and some of us were nervous as hell. Our vocalist drank a lot to calm down, and almost puked on stage. hahahaha.

Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
For physical formats, we’re mostly into cassettes and CDs. But yeah vinyl is the dream too.
Your music style is Black Metal with Death Metal elements. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
Every member comes from different paths, and Mvsacry is basically the vessel where all of it meets. Some key influences are Morbus Chron, Dissection, Darkthrone, Ungfell, plus a bunch of fellow local bands, and obviously raw black metal riffs that shaped our DNA.
Which things do you think a band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future for your band?
The main sacrifice is time and mental energy. Everyone’s busy with work, education, life stuff, or other projects. Finishing this album took a lot of hours, and a lot of brainpower shaping the material piece by piece.
Describe your ideal live show as a performance band. Have you already experienced that?
For us, the ideal live show is simple: the band and the crowd both have a good time. Dark, intimate underground gigs where people are close and the energy feels real that’s the best setting. We’ve played a few of those already, and that’s the vibe we wanna keep forever.

What do you think about the rise of AI in music production?
With how things are now, AI is everywhere and it’s hard to avoid. But we totally reject AI when it comes to lyrics, arrangement ideas, or artwork. That shit goes against the whole essence of art. Fuck AI.
What attributes do you think that a new Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
Keep it simple be yourself. Stay true to the music you carry, or create your own style and attributes, whatever. As long as you feel comfortable. Consistency builds identity.
Do you believe that Digital Platforms help the new Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a band to promote its work?
Yeah, digital platforms help a lot. They let our music reach places we couldn’t reach before, and they bring connections, inspiration, and info. The best promotion in our opinion is building friendships and networks. Physical releases are mandatory and we’re making that happen soon.
From your experience in the music industry, what would you tell to a new Metal band to avoid or what to do?
We’re still new in this industry, so we don’t wanna act like we know everything. But one thing’s clear: don’t ever disrespect the craft especially by ignoring copyright. And what you should do: build a strong identity and keep leveling up your skills of songwriting, arranging, recording, all of it.

Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Indonesia (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
The Indonesian underground metal scene keeps growing fast, and the DIY spirit is still alive (zines, gigs, everything). In our city Kediri, the metal scene is strong with all kinds of genres. It’s become a stop for touring bands, and friendships between cities keep the scene united. Still underground as fuck hell yeah.
What does Metal means to you? And give us 10 metal albums that run in your veins.
Metal is honesty pushed to the extreme. It lets us speak thoughts and emotions that normal daily language can’t carry. For us, metal is both release and discipline. Ten albums that shaped us:
Ungfell – Tôtbringære
Morbus Chron – Sweven
Dissection – The Somberlain
Entombed – Left Hand Path
Nansarunai – Ruins of the Moonlight Temple
The Devil’s Blood – The Thousandfolds Epicentre
Tribulation – The Children of the Nights
Exhumation – Opus Death
Venom – Black Metal
Bathory – Bathory
Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
We know a few bands from the Hellenic scene like Rotting Christ, Kawir, and Zemial, and we really respect how strong they are in building atmosphere.
What are your future plans?
For the future, we just wanna keep writing and let the sound evolve naturally. No strict timeline, no pressure to constantly drop releases. More live shows, and maybe collaborations too that’s definitely in the works.
Thank you very much for your time & keep up the good work! The closure is yours.
Thanks again for the chance and the support. Respect to everyone keeping the scene alive bands, labels, zines, promoters, and everyone who listens. Long live headbangers!
