Interview with FEEL THE KNIFE

!!!METAL MANIACS FROM ARGENTINA!!!

We had a conversation with Facundo Solano (Bass/Vocals). Enjoy!

Welcome to the FILTHY DOGS OF METAL Webzine.
Tell us a few things about FEEL THE KNIFE (Members, Starting Year etc).
Feel the knife is a thrash /metal punk band created in 2018.
Us of 2021 the line up is:
Gustavo Quiroga (drums)
Damian Dearmas (guitar)
Facundo Solano (bass & vocals).

You have recently released your album ''Let There Be Death''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
The album is still very new so we' re waiting for it to reach more people.

Label or DIY and why?
DIY because we haven't had the opportunity to work with a label yet.

Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
Feel the Knife's prefers tape because we feel comfortable using that format.

Your music style is MetalPunk with Thrash elements. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
Our main influences are from 80's speed, thrash & punk, like Cyclone, Motorhead, Venom, Sodom , Discharge & G.B.H.

Which things, do you think, a Band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future of your Band?
We've invested a lot of time and great effort to find the way to do what makes us happy. I think the biggest sacrifice is the work we put into each track but we're satisfied with the results.

Describe your ideal live show as a performance Band. Have you already experienced that?
We still didn't have the ideal show, because Feel The Knife doesn't usually play live, we've only done it twice, the second time was opening for the Spanish band Crisix. Another reason not to play live is that all the musicians involved in Feel The Knife play in other bands as well. (Bonehammer, Infernal Curse, Xenotaph, Alma Matter, among others).

Which attributes, do you think, that a new MetalPunk Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
A band would have to have a unique personality above all else, that's truly where the best work usually appears.

Do you believe that Digital Platforms help the new MetalPunk Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a Band to promote its work?
The platform that I believe serves both for promotion and economically would be Bandcamp, which allows you to spread and sell your merchandising. However, I recognize that Spotify has its advantages although not so much economically.

Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Argentina (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
The scene in Argentina is very good, excellent bands are emerging with great work, there are some metal clubs, but post-pandemic the situation is strange. I still think that in the future, more venues will open up and provide the possibility to play.

Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
They have excellent bands in Greece, the ones I like the most are Rotting Christ and Necromantia. Total support for those excellent bands.

What are your future plans?
Future plans are that in weeks "Let There Be Death" will be released in physical format on tape. We are also thinking of adding one more member to Feel The Knife but for now, only time will tell. Hopefully the circumstances can be presented for a presentation of our newest work as well as the previous album "Stab Your Back".

Thank you very much for your time & Keep up the good work! The closure is yours.
Thank you Stavros and Filthy Dogs Metal Webzine for this interview, my utmost respect and total support for the scene in Greece and around the world. Stay underground and wild. Faku Feel_the_knife.
