SCYTHROW is hailing from Finland. As most of us already know, Finland is country that has a strong tradition in the metal scene (and in extreme music in general) and has given us some great albums, from the 70s up to today. So, what do we have here? The third album by SCYTHROW, titled ''Blameless Severed Extremities''. It was initially released digitally and on CD by the Chinese label Awakening Records in 2024. On March 14, 2025, my necro-brother Danihell Slaughter with his killer label Murder Records, released ''Blameless Severed Extremities'' in a limited edition of only 100 copies on cassette (only analog is real!!) and for this cassette edition, there will be a bonus track, a cover of the legendary Mortician’s ''Chainsaw Dismemberment.'' The music style of SCYTHROW is chaotic death metal, with fast songs full of blast beats, slow and torturous sections, brutal growls, twisted riffs, and low-tuned guitars that give the listener a deadly, murderous feeling. Be sure to listen to "Kinemortophobia," "Necrotic High" (KILLER drumming!!), the same-title song "Blameless Severed Extremities" (great atmosphere), and "The Fatal Point of Closure" (my favorite! Amazing composition with very beautiful and atmospheric keyboards at the beginning). SCYTHROW are very young, and I’m incredibly impressed by how well they play their instruments, as well as how they compose complex and technical death metal songs. Kudos to them! They’re already on their third album and I should say here that the guys got it, and I hope they continue to have a lasting presence in the scene. The cassette edition is professional made (as with all the releases of Murder Records, my necro-brother Danihell gives 110% of himself), showing great respect for both the band and the buyers. It comes in a very nice blue color and includes a large j-card with lyrics, photos, and information about the album.
