OLD ABUSER is a Brazilian black/speed metal band that released their demo ''Apodrecendo Novamente'' in 2020. The demo contains 12 tracks and has a total duration of just 6 minutes and 33 seconds. The music is influenced by classic metal gods such as VENOM, SODOM, DESTRUCTION, SARCOFAGO, and MOTÖRHEAD, with these influences clearly evident in the band's straightforward approach to metal. The band members are Cesar C. Meirelles (also from BESTIAL) and L. Zurk. ''Apodrecendo Novamente'' was released in a limited hand-numbered cassette edition of only 150 copies via the killer MURDER Records (Hail my necro-brother Danihell!). Danihell Slaughter is a true supporter of the extreme underground and, through his label, has helped many bands get their releases out there. The production is raw, maintaining an old-school, unpolished feel. The songs are short, with most clocking in under a minute, featuring interesting "intros" (hahaha, puke!!!) and "outros." The band keeps things simple: raw speed black metal in your face! The guitar riffs are fast, and the drumming follows suit with a constant, driving pace. The vocals are harsh and sit in the background, fitting the rough style the band is going for. Given the short length of the demo, there isn't much room for complexity, but in my opinion, OLD ABUSER doesn't need that. They play pure and evil raw black speed metal straight from the heart. Overall, ''Apodrecendo Novamente'' is a brief, straightforward demo that will appeal to fans of old-school black/speed metal. It doesn't try to do anything overly ambitious but stays true to its influences, delivering a raw, unrefined listening experience.
