CORRUPTION is a band with quite a long history in the metal scene. Their musical journey began back in 1991 (so you can already tell they’re real veterans!). With many releases under their belt, they return full force with their brand-new album, their ninth, no less! Simply titled “Tequila Songs & Desert Winds.” As you can guess from the album title, their music belongs to the stoner realm, but with plenty of metal elements. Let’s not forget that in the past they started out as a doom/death metal band, so the “metal bug” is still in their blood… hahaha! I recommend listening to their first album from 1995, “Ecstasy.” It’s a very solid release, and the cover art is extremely erotic… and honestly, who wouldn’t want to lie in Elisabeth’s arms? Hahahaha! Wonderful! Their new record contains eight tracks that “smell” of alcohol, cigarette smoke, drinks, kicks and punches, sexy women ready for anything, and in general it’s a nighttime soundtrack for adventure! I was never a big fan of stoner metal, but that never stopped me from listening comfortably to anything that comes my way. Many times I actually enjoy it a lot, just like now with CORRUPTION’s new album. Stoner Metal & Rock ’n’ Roll to the max!!! Be sure to check out the songs: “The Trail” (pure rock ’n’ roll energy!), “Red Demon”(a very heavy song with an amazing guitar solo, this one really hits hard!), “Tequila, Mezcal” (with a touch of Spanish… hahaha, great idea!), “Tumbleweed” (gives me a strong ’90s vibe!) & “The Devil Has a Name” (here they even brush against thrash territory!) A very fine piece of work from CORRUPTION that can definitely quench the thirst of many rockers out there. The album is released by Ossuary Records (Hail Mateusz!!!) on standard black vinyl, and also as a limited edition of 100 copies in two versions: clear with black splatter and white vinyl! I’m holding the CD version in my hands (666 copies!!! Hahaha!!! Love it!), which is beautifully made (as all Ossuary Records releases are) with very nice artwork, and the CD comes in an embossed slipcase! Check out CORRUPTION wherever and whenever you can & I’m sure their songs will reward you and give you plenty of enjoyable moments!
