Like their debut album ''Descent into Madness'' (2022), this new release comes courtesy of the relentless and powerful Godz Ov War Productions. CORRUPTER is a two-member French death metal band, with each member being seasoned of the extreme metal music scene. ''Gloria in Profundis'' is an incredibly dark and intense record, characterized by lightning-fast tempos, savage blast beats on the drums, and yet at the same time, it delivers highly atmospheric and torturous musical moments. The vocals are pure demonic ferocity, as if they come from an entity from another dimension. Their sound is technical and intricate, with difficult transitions, dissonant, and infernal riffs that blacken the music, suffocating you in a dense and oppressive atmosphere. You must listen to ''Permanent Storage Down Below'' (such a heavy song!!), ''Heading for Afterlife'' (mind-blowing performance, fast and unrelenting, especially the drums-this will destroy you!), the title track ''Gloria in Profundis'' (my personal favorite!), and ''Awakened from Beyond'' (WOW!! This song is so crushing, slow in parts, yet it carries an overwhelming, majestic energy-arguably the perfect way to end the album!). The production is sharp and potent, ensuring every detail is clear and every riff is felt. Produced by M. Lobier, engineered by M. Lobier at Ellipsis Audio, France. Mixed and mastered by Haldor Grunberg at Satanic Audio, Poland. It’s also worth noting that the album is accompanied by an incredible cover art piece created by Paolo Girardi-epic, hellish, and absolutely lethal! The layout was designed by Paweł Ozon & XXV The Sign. A big shout-out to Greg and Godz Ov War Productions, who continue to release exciting albums from the extreme metal scene without pause. He not only help these bands get their work into physical formats but also support them in every way.
