Welcome to the FILTHY DOGS OF METAL Webzine.
Tell us a few things about SATAN'S FIST (Members, Starting Year etc).
HAILS!!! First, Satan's Fist (name taken by the Bestial Warlust demo) is my solo project created in mid/late 2024 playing all instruments, vocals and lyrics, born from the ashes of Instant Death, tired of not having a clear musical direction I decided to stand on solid ground and take forward my ideas of pure destruction unifying black, thrash and death with some punk elements
You have recently released your album ''Addicted to Fear''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
So far so good, everyone that has listened to it likes it, for some people there are better elements than others but keeping it all in my music you know? Some prefer the vocals over the guitar or the bass over vocals and that, pure raw and ugly darkness, even close friends said that it reminds them the old Bathory (cool isn't it?). As for the press I don't know haha it hasn't reached other sites or 'zines... yet.
And what about the lyrics?
Lyrics come from various ideas I have through the day or even in my dreams, think I can write about ANYTHING I'm inspired by, drinking many hours with the boys, gnosticism, nuclear abominations, being just a number for society, how the government is allied with organized crime, you tell me! NO PRETTY SONGS, just cruel reality and aggressive future .l.

Are you in searching for a record label? What do you prefer, Label or DIY and why?
DIY all the way, maaan. Because that's how it all started, that's the spirit of real and extreme music, not distorting the original idea and putting effort on everything you do is what makes the whole experience, so at the end of the day you can listen to the music and say I'm proud of my own shit. Now if I'm searching for record labels? Yeah but only to press/distribute material, no shitty contracts of X number of years and records, it's my music and I want to have full control of it, no bullshit paperwork and that kind of crap, I'm not into that and also think that is what kills the will.
Is there any funny or weird story from the recordings or from your live shows that you would like to share with us?
Not really, maybe not being satisfied with the first guitar tones I had, at the beginning I wanted to have like a Deathcrush, but somehow I balanced it to be the way I wanted to be and I'm pleased with it, also had to discard like 3 songs and many riffs because I thought they weren't solid enough.
Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
Anything of physical format, personally I love LPs, there's nothing like watching the full cover, but there are advantages with MCs and CDs. When you buy a record no matter the shape, you ACTUALLY own the music, it's yours to listen whenever you want, digital format is more practical and I get it, but the metal ways of old were always physical.

Your music style is Black/Thrash Metal. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
Personally I don't think it's pure black thrash, as I said above, tried to mix extreme subgenres, but if people say it, works for me!. Of course I'm influenced by black thrash bands like Absu, Aura Noir, Cruel Force and Deströyer 666 (which are some of my favourites), but can't forget the classics, Sarcófago, Master's Hammer, Bestial Warlust, Sadistik Exekution, Angelcorpse, Hellhammer, Imperator, old Onslaught, canadian Slaughter, German Poison, a lot of Discharge, Bathory obviously and OF COURSE THE ALMIGHTY SODOM!
Which things do you think a band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future for your band?
Money, Time, and Booze. HAHA, well not necessarily the last one but sure it can affect. Yeah I've sacrificed mostly time and energy, instead of hanging out with friends, I decided to record and play, also vice versa.
Describe your ideal live show as a performance band. Have you already experienced that?
I'm not into playing live that much, but if it was on my hands, a small fest with the best of the Mexican metal bands like Phantom, StarForce, Horrid Sight, Ahvawe, Raped God 666, Hellcharger, Strike Master, Xibalba Itzaes, Hardröcker, Shagrat, Speedrippërs, Vltramaximizer AND MORE!!!
What do you think about the rise of AI in music production?
TOTAL CRAP, where's the human feeling on it? totally worthless, from the artwork to artificially generated instruments, anything that's AI generated is not REAL METAL.

What attributes do you think that a new Black/Thrash Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
Maybe the whole atmosphere they create, Nocturnal has its own, Desaster too, sure they sound like early Destruction and the influence is clearly there, but they're not copycats. Yeah the lyrics can be about Satan, total Mayhem or Alcohol, but that's the ground and you can't change it, doesn't mean that it's all the same for using the same techniques or dealing with the same topics, you've got to find your way.
Do you believe that Digital Platforms help the new Black/Thrash Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a band to promote its work?
Of course it helps, it's easier for someone to listen to a full album on YouTube or Bandcamp, before deciding to buy it physically. Nowadays I think the best way to promote your work is through social media, local FB pages or the label's websites, whether you like it or not. But don't forget to attend your local gig to catch the next Possessed or Morbid Angel.
From your experience in the music industry, what would you tell to a new Black/Thrash Metal band to avoid or what to do?
My experience in the music industry is very short and I want to keep it that way, the more you stay away from any kind of industry, the better. All I can say is stick to your guns and be yourself.

Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Mexico (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
Last weekend attended the Horrid Days Festival III and maaaan what a fest, true underground. The top act for me was Abhorration, those guys sure know how to play!!! Also many think the best festival here is Candelabrum Metal Fest in Leon, which can be true. One of the best Mexican Webzines is "Heavy Not Hobby" (the title says it all) those guys put a lot of effort and time on spreading the Gospel of Real Metal. Also "Una página más de metal en México", thanks to those brothers I can stay up to date of all gigs. Some of the best underground bands I've already mentioned it on question n.9. As for metal clubs, I don't know man, I think the closest thing to a club are small forums like Gato Calavera, Sangriento, Foro 28, Mictlán and those types of places. I don't go out too much unless it's a concert (that sometimes takes place in the forums previously mentioned).
What does Metal means to you? And give us 10 metal albums that run in your veins.
Metal is my way of life, I'm nothing without out, it's in my body, soul and spirit.
-Absu - The Third Storm of Cythraul
-Deströyer 666 - Unchain the Wolves
-KAT - Metal and Hell
-Sarcófago - I.N.R.I.
-Sacrifice - Torment in Fire
-Sepultura - Schizophrenia
-Razor - Evil Invaders
-Sadistik Exekution - The Magus
-Pestilence - Malleus Malleficarum

Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
FLAMES SUMMON THE FUCKING DEAD!!!!! The best record out of Greece yeaaaaah!!! Otherwise not much hahah Chainsaw is fukking awesome and dead congregation too, also the classic black metal scene, RC, Agatus, Varathron, etc...
What are your future plans?
More music for sure, better production and more elaborate tunes, maybe not a full length but at least an EP for this year, got to improve my musical skills, specially on drums. Also need to press the album on physical format ASAP! Maybe a split? Who knows. I'm sure about not playing live, as I've said before, I'm not into that, but time shall tell.
Thank you very much for your time & keep up the good work! The closure is yours.
Thank you for your interest and for giving me the chance to talk about my little bastard project, stay in tune and CHEEEEEEEEEERS!!!!! 666
