My necro-brother Danihell Slaughter sent me this tape quite a while ago. But thanks to the absurd grind of everyday life, I ended up pushing this review back way longer than I intended (and a few others too… I'm sorry Danihell, daily life is eating us alive…!). The new split tape by DISFIGURED HUMAN MIND and POTIER was released on July 31st, 2025 through Murder Records in collaboration with Southern Soundclash Records. DISFIGURED HUMAN MIND (Side Abnormal ''Nihilistic Noise Hanged In Agony With Misanthropic Minimalism'') contribute an exclusive noise session recorded specifically for this release, and it’s an immediate punch to the skull. The track moves on violently aggressive frequencies: walls of distortion, warped textures, unstable layers, and constant sonic convulsions. The chaotic structure and sharp transitions build a suffocating atmosphere that slowly tightens around you. Decay, filth, and a sickening heaviness hit the listener the moment the tape starts spinning. A deranged, punishing outburst, pure, unfiltered hell from the maniacs known as DISFIGURED HUMAN MIND. POTIER (Side Brutalized ''Hyper Cargo'') approaches the split from a different angle, but the destruction remains the same. Instead of unleashing raw noise at full blast, he constructs a ritualistic, subterranean environment: textures rising from a toxic soundscape, distorted drones slipping in like venom, and a dark minimalism that spreads slowly under the skin. Pulsing undercurrents and slow-burning drones create an atmosphere of corrosive, creeping tension, like pressure building at your temples, tightening little by little. The track doesn’t attack head-on, it encloses you, traps you, and lets the dread bloom in silence. A quieter kind of violence, far more suffocating. POTIER proves that chaos doesn’t need volume, sometimes it whispers until you can’t take it anymore. And don't forget to check out his social. POTIER (he is also the artist behind this sick & necro cover artwork!) is a unique presence with a strange, magnetic intensity. This split cassette is a limited edition to 50 copies only and it is forbidden for the unprepared. Sensitive listeners will regret the moment they press play on their tape deck. Don’t say you weren’t warned.... Extreme noise for extreme people... and no one else.
