Welcome to the FILTHY DOGS OF METAL Webzine.
Tell us a few things about AMULETT (Members, Starting Year etc).
We are from Buenos Aires, Argentina. We started the band in 2020, all members participate in different musical projects, we knew each other before but we´d never played together. The idea was simple, to compose, record and finish a metal album before the end of 2021. Amulett consists of: Sebastián Braddock on vocals, Pablo Abal and Leandro Bajar on guitars, Max Alvarez on bass and Agustín Morelli on drums.
You have recently released your EP ''Glassbreaker''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
We published our album, 72 hours ago, as from the date of this interview, and the response that the album is having is very positive, both from the Argentine metal public and from other countries. From the press, it is being promoted by different specialized media. We are very grateful.
Label or DIY and why?
So far we are promoting it ourselves, we wanted it to reach the public immediately. But we are currently analyzing different proposals to edit it, and it´s imminent.
Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
All of us from Amulett are listeners of any of these formats, tape and vinyl are special, but we consider that if there is a desire to listen to heavy metal, any format is appropriate.
Your music style is Hard 'n' Heavy Metal. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
Blue Oyster Cult, U.F.O. , Riot, Rainbow, Alice Cooper Band, Nazareth, Thin Lizzy and also new bands like Horisont, Svartanatt, Night, High Spirits, Hällas, etc.
Which things, do you think, a Band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future of your Band?
For us it is already a triumph to have recorded this album and making our contribution to metal is enough for us. And also the chemistry that is developing between the band is extremely gratifying since we started so recently. Of course we want it to reach as many listeners as possible.
Describe your ideal live show as a performance Band. Have you already experienced that?
We all have parallel bands to Amulett and other projects, we know that adrenaline rush, we have a confirmed show in February and we´ll soon confirm more. An ideal show has the guitars at the top, many screams, friends, new friends to meet and also something to drink.
Which attributes, do you think, that a new Heavy Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
A lot of sweat, staying true to an idea and mostly have fun.
Do you believe that Digital Platforms help the new Heavy Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a Band to promote its work?
Any means of diffusion is valid and beneficial for the band, as long as nobody keeps what belongs us.
Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Argentina (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
The scene is very active, there are bands like Metaluria, or the fanzine "Enterrado Vivo" that keep the flame alive. In every corner of the country, no matter how far away it may be, there are concerts. For example, there are groups of people such as "Que niaca diga nadie" in the province of Santiago del Estero or "Speed Metal Army" in Buenos Aires who organize concerts for the love of heavy metal.
Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
We don't know so many, recommend us some.
What are your future plans?
Introduce the album in all the provinces of our country that we can, record another album and continue to rock until we feel like shit.
