!!!US HEAVY METAL!!!

We had a conversation with Maxx Havick.Enjoy!

Welcome to the FILTHY DOGS OF METAL Webzine.
Tell us a few things about INCURSION (Members, Starting Year etc).
Incursion consists of Maxx Havick and Michael Lashinsky on guitars, Buddy Norris on drums, Stone Jamess on bass and Steve Samson on lead vocals. We were active from 1982-1986 and reformed in 2018.

You have recently released your album ''The Hunter''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
So far the response has been very positive with fans and with press.Label or DIY and why?
We started out as a DIY band, but just recently worked our a deal with No Remorse Records for them to release the EP on vinyl and CD.

Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
I'm a vinyl guy. I have a very large record collection. I think it sounds better and a like the large format for he artwork

Your music style is Heavy Metal. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
Some of our influences are Kiss, Ted Nugent, Scorpions, Judas Priest & Iron Maiden.

Which things, do you think, a Band should sacrifice in order to succeed?
It really depends on your situation and how badly you want this.

Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future of your Band?
I hope all our efforts get us to a place where we can be as create the music we love for fans who appreciate what we do.

Describe your ideal live show as a performance Band. Have you already experienced that?
We'd love to play the Keep It True festival. We haven't yet experienced it, but we hope to be able to play some of the festivals next year.

Which attributes, do you think, that a new Heavy Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
I think it all starts with the music. I think there has to be something in the songs that connects with the listener.

Do you believe that Bandcamp and other Digital Platforms help the new Heavy Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a Band to promote its work?
I think everything helps. You have to do everything you can to spread the word and these platforms give you access to passionate fans.

Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Miami, Florida USA (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
There is not much of a scene these days and it's worst since the pandemic.

Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
I don't know much, but with our deal with No Remorse Records, I hope to learn more about it. I do like Suicidal Angels though.

What are your future plans?
We hope to have the EP released on vinyl and CD by the end of the year and to start working on the full length album in the beginning of 2021. If we get some control over COVID, we'd love to be able to do shows!

Thank you very much for your time & Keep up the good work! The closure is yours.
Just want to thank Filthy Dogs Of Metal for opportunity and support as well as all the people who have listened and have gotten us to this point so far. SALUTE!!!!
