We started in Jan of 2017.

You have recently released your album ''Doorways of Time''. What is the Feedback from your audience as well as from the Press?

It's been great!!!! its our first release and we have nearly sold out of the first press of the vinyl. We are doing lots of press now and we are really happy with the response we are getting.

Label or DIY and why?

Label is HIGH VOLTAGE records (which is my own label).

Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?

Well I am a vinyl collector and a tape trader from the old school days ha ha.
I love vinyl but I’m ok with digital as its the way most people are listening to music now days.

Your music style is Hard Rock with Heavy Metal elements. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)

We/I grow up on bands like URIAH HEEP, BLACK SABBATH, ELOY, THIN LIZZY, ALICE COOPER, KISS, AC/DC, HEART, JUDAS PRIEST e.g.
It's so hard to pick a favourite band ha ha ha there are to many I love!!!!

6. Which things, do you think, a Band should sacrifice in order to succeed?

Well it's different for everyone I think. I mean I don’t think its a sacrifice because its something I’ve done from a young kid.
I’ve been playing and touring in bands since 1988 so its really all i know and I’ve been lucky to have been able to do it comfortably.

Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future of your Band?

Ha ha yes. I play in a few bands and sometimes tours clash and you have to pick what tour your going to choose and it can let your other bands friends down if you choose the band there not in of cause. so that can suck at times.

Describe your ideal live show as a performance Band. Have you already experienced that?

We are from the heart. we love to just get up and play and don’t feel comfortable with gimmicks and things like that. So really we are old school and live we they to stay true to that.

Which attributes, do you think, that a new Heavy Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?

I know lots of bands say this. but I really do think you need to write music the way you want to hear it and not thick about how other people will thick about it.If you mean it from your heart and soul. it will (I thick) always show in your in your writing. and I think that's the best way to connect with people who listen to your songs.

Do you believe that Bandcamp and other Digital Platforms help the new Heavy Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a Band to promote its work?

I think now days Bandcamp and Facebook/Instagram are a great means to get to an audience. Also Youtube.

Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Australia (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)

The metal scene here has always been great since the late 70’s really. and its still thriving!!!!
We have a great fanzine called HEAY MAG and great venues such as THE BENDIGO HOTEL AND THE TOTE HOTEL that have been putting on PUNK AND METAL shows since the early 80’s.
Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?

I am a big fan of SEPTIC FLESH!!!! and Necromantia and mostly older death metal bands. Great dark metal from you guys, I love it!!!!!!

What are your future plans?

We are at the moment putting together and working on the next record, and hope to put that out early next year.

Thank you very much for your time & Keep up the good work! The closure is yours

I'd like to say cheers to you and the Hellenic music scene because BUTTERFLY loves you!!!!
Stay true and heavy.
Cheers Rob Wog
